Belfast City Council have teamed up with Native Events to develop a sustainability toolkit specifically for the music industry in Northern Ireland. As part of BCC´s Music Matters Strategy, we want to identify the primary challenges and needs in environmental sustainability within Northern Ireland´s Music Industry. This will help them create practical resources and tools that support Music Industry Professionals to implement sustainable practices in their work, ensuring the music industry evolves sustainably.
The afternoon of events invite our music industry to hear more about the concept, the work to date, and how to get involved.
This session is called 'The Landscape is Changing': Framing the sustainability toolkit & chairing a discussion with different stakeholders in the music industry.
Ciara Moynihan of Native Events & Julie’s Bicycle Europe will frame the work of phase 1 up to this point, then present phase 2 - what needs to happen, and how people can get involved to assist in establishing the aspirations for the city, from short term goals & potential wins, and wider sustainable industry concepts.
- Panelist 1: Dee McAdams (OhYeah Music Centre)
- Panelist 2: Chris McCreery (Belfast City Council)
